Hye Joung Park received a BA degree in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2005 and an MFA degree from the Slade School of Art in 2009. She works with sculpture and drawing, exploring both the material and immaterial possibilities of sculpture. Hye Joung Park’s works are included in the private collection of the Dungal Fund, and her work has been exhibited at the Reykjanesbær Art Museum, Ásmundarsalur, Gallery Suðsuðvestur, and elsewhere in Iceland, as well as in exhibitions in London, Mongolia and South Korea. Alongside her practice as an artist, Hye is an assistant professor in the Department of Art Education at the Iceland University of the Arts.
